Elevation: 5323 ft.
Lake Range; Washoe County, NV
Equipment: 1) YSI 6920 multiparameter WQ monitoring instrument is used to record temperature, specific conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, tds, and turbidity during the sampling event.
2). A 18"x12" kicknet, 500 micron mesh, is used to collect benthic macroinvertebrates at 3 sites.
3). A densiometer is used to obtain an estimate of canopy cover (%) along the 150 meter reach.
Period of Record: 2006 to present

Physical Habitat & Bioassessment monitoring began in 2006 within the Dove Creek watershed, and conducted annually during the month of April or May depending on flows. Physical Habitat assessments are conducted within a 10 x 150 meter reach of the stream.  Benthic macro-invertebrates are collected at three sites within the reach, and water samples/ stream measurements are taken at the mid-point of the reach following protocols in the Tribe's 2007 Quality Assurance Project Plan.(7.4 Mb PDF file)
